It's been really cold outside lately.. But I must say thanks to my mom and dad cause they keep us in the house and we are very warm  (Except when we have to go potty, then they make us go outside, but they don't let us out longer then we need to be out).   Mom and dad even let us sleep in the bed with them and that's great to stay warm.   I personally like to sleep under the covers.  Penny always snuggles next to mom.  Then there is Sam, I don't know why mom and dad let her on the bed, look at this pictures, she acts like she owns the bed!   I have to do something with that cat. I'm afraid she'll decided she wants to be the only animal on the bed and dad will chase me off.  She's daddy's Samantha, but then I'm mommy's little boy.  I guess Penny and I are safe.  I guess we won't get chased off the bed!

Of course, then we have Holli, where does Holli sleep?  On the computer table. Talk about dumb cat, need I say more???   

Oh well, Keep warm folks, the weather is nasty cold out there!   Remember to watch out for your pets and your neighbor's pets, don't let them outside in this horrible weather! 

It's been awhile, sorry. It was a little crazy after grammy died.  We had my mom and dad's 25th wedding anniversary, and Thanksgiving and then Christmas.  Yes, Santa Paws did come to our house!  

Now we are in the new year and it's cold and has snow outside.  The cat as you see in the picture can't go outside,  so she hangs around in Penny and my area.  I wasn't gonna put up with it, so I just moved to my own chair.  Penny's not too smart, so she just puts up with it, but not me.  I moved to my own chair, and I love it. Penny doesn't even bother me!. I can be alone and get some much needed sleep. 


Mom says they are talking about another snowstorm.   I'm not a big fan of them.  The good thing is that mom and dad will probably stay home with us.  The bad thing is that we still have to go outside to the bathroom.  Why don't people build houses with a room where they grow grass and we wouldn't have to go outside when it cold and rainy or snowy?  Heck, the humans could put a lawn chair there and enjoy it even during the winter and share it with us dogs!  (and even the cats, especially to get Sam out of our space)  I need to talk to someone about this idea sometime, when is that Home Show in Philadelphia, maybe someone down there would listen to me.  I must say, mom and dad are very considerate.  Once the snow is done, dad shovels to the grass so we have a place to go and it's not in a foot of snow.  Before dad has things shoveled and if it's the middle of the night when one of us decided we have to go outside, mom usually takes us out through the basement. That door opens up under our deck and it doesn't snow much under the deck. If the winds are strong, there is come snow under there, but usually it's a pretty easy place to walk. 

Oh well, I think mom is coming back and I need to get off the computer.  Hope you all find places to go during the upcoming snow storm.

This is a picture of me and my Grammy around Halloween 2013.  I always loved to go to see my Grammy (she is Katie's Grammy too).  Mom always takes me along cause Grammy likes to pet me.  When she moved from this assisted living apartment to nursing in June,  mom would still take me to visit her.  The past few weeks I have noticed Grammy doesn't talk to me much, but she does pet me.  Mom and I went down on Thursday and Grammy hardly petted me at all. I laid on the bed with her, but she didn't bother with me.   Mom said that was the last time I was gonna go down to see Grammy, cause Grammy wasn't responding even to me!  Mom, Dad, Katie and Katie's boyfriend Cody went down to see Grammy last night but didn't take me.  I heard mom say that Grammy was sleeping the whole time they were down. 

Mom went down today and sat with grammy and after lunch grammy passed away. Mom said she never woke up, but mom talked to her.  Mom says that grammy is now with pappy in heaven.  I never met pappy but I bet he was a pretty cool guy.

Mom, Dad, and Katie are sad, but they understand that Grammy was 90 years old and she missed pappy alot.  So, although they are sad, they are happy to think Grammy is reunited with pappy!

My goodness I had a really exciting Thursday!  My mom went to visit her mom who lives at this large place, it sort of looks like a hotel or something. It's called Frederick Living Community.  I have noticed all the folks living there seems to have white hair and alot of them have problems walking. They used all kinds of devices that helped them walk.  Some just sit in chairs with wheels and get pushed around.  I like going there, I gets alot of attention.  I hear, "Oh look at the cute dog".  That's me, Leonard, they are talking about.  Anyway, my mom's mom, who the nurses call Helena, really likes me.  This Helena lady is in bed when we stop down and you know that's right up my alley.  So I just lay on the bed and she pets me and it feels so good, I'm asleep in no time at all.  Helena really likes me, I noticed she has my picture on her dresser. I guess she can think of me all the time then!
Mom talks to her mom awhile and then mom wakes me up and we head home. 

However, this time mom said, "Leonard you are going to church tonight.  Dad and I have to met a couple to pick their wedding music and I don't have time to take you home.".  So Mom carried me up to the choir loft in what she called church.  Mom explained that this is where they go when they say they are going to church.  Mom said they do the music there.  I sat on mom's lap while the people decided what songs they like.  I would jump like crazy when dad would play that big wooden thing with the white and black things on it. Dad would press a few of the white things and the whole church seems to shake (especially me)   That thing is really loud!  I thought our birds were loud at home but that beats the birds. I wonder if you would put a cover on that wooden thing if it would shut up?  I mean, it helps the birds shut up, maybe I should suggest that to mom and dad? 

You know, I think I'd rather stay home and sleep at home instead of church, that wooden thing makes way too much noise to sleep!  Oh well, that was my fun adventure this week.  Stay tuned, you never know what's gonna happen around here!

I talked to Frankie today about the sleeping in bed at night. As you can see, she is upset with me and won't even look at me!   I don't understand why she is so upset but I am guessing she won't be in bed tonight. So that worked out very well.  Now, I need to talk to Sam, but Sam is much more stubborn then Frankie.  I don't know if I'll get her to give in and stay off the bed.   I guess time will tell! 

Meanwhile have a nice weekend!

I mean really!  I am so mad! After a tiring day of playing ball and sleeping on the sofa, it's time to hit the sack for the evening, a guy can't even get cats out of his life!  I really think I am gonna make a proposal to the family that I will refuse to sleep with cats on the bed.  You know what I mean?  It's bad enough that Penny and I have to share our bed with two humans every night.  But cats,  I can't take this any more.  Look at Sam she lays there upside down waiting to be petted.





How can a guy get any rest like this.  Oh well, I guess I should try, I'll need my energy to play ball and sleep on the sofa tomorrow.

I'll figure what can be done with this problem in the morning, I'm too tired to deal with it tonight!

Wow was it cold and damp today!   I figured I'd just hang out on the sofa most the day with the blanket to keep me warm.  I usually keep my whole body buried under the blanket, but I thought I heard something so I looked out to see what it was. Nothing much, so I went back under the covers and back to sleep.   I'm not looking forward to the winter but I am very glad I have a great home and my family makes sure I'm on the house and nice and warm everyday!  

Keep warm guys and if it's cold at your house, call my mom or dad, they probably have an extra blanket they can give you!
