Katie to Florida

The story is as follows . . . Katie, who is a senior, was going on her class trip to Florida.  She had her suitcase open in her room and the cat, Sam, crawls in.  She can't take a cat along! How dumb is that cat? Does she really think Katie is gonna take her along??  Katie would take me and the other dog along before she would take a cat and especially THAT cat!  I was watching very closely when Katie closed her suitcase  I wasn't gonna let the cat be a stowaway!  Mom and Dad had to get up in the middle of the night to take Katie to the high school to get the bus to get the plane.  Mom said Katie had to be at school at 3:30 a.m.  Mom and Dad took her and came back home and we all went to bed again.  Penny couldn't sleep well, after that she kept barking at nothing and waking me up.  We all finally got to sleep.  Katie made it to Florida alright and all is well.   The cat didn't sneak into the suitcase and she is at home.  You know, maybe I should have left her take the cat along and let her with that big mouse down in Disney!  Darn, I really didn't think that one through!!

Oh well, I am looking forward to Katie coming home tomorrow night.  I miss her, well the treats that she gives me, that is what I really miss about her!

Missing the Birthday Cake

I saw Mom just posted this picture on that thing she calls facebook.  She said, "Look at Katie's neat birthday ice cream cake."  Ice Cream cake, I didn't see any ice cream cake, I didn't even smell any ice cream cake.  It must be like that Shady Maple deal.  They say, "Oh we're all going to Shady Maple" then we get stuck in our cage.  Now they have an ice cream cake and again, we got stuck in our cage. I'm getting really angry about this.  Well, I get angry but when mom and dad and Katie come back home, I am so excited to see them, I forget that anger.  This cake does look good, but you know, I have to keep my great figure, I don't want to turn out overweight like Penny.  (Don't tell Penny I said that!)  Have a great day folks.  I'm proud of Katie, she is now 18 years old, in dog years that's a baby yet!

A day in Heaven

Pretty good day yesterday was!   Let's see, mom and dad where home most the day.  Dad is on what he calls Spring Break and he was away in Texas earlier this week.  I'm not sure where Texas is, but it sounded far away.  Dad took Penny and me for a mile walk, the same one he takes Jaybo on at night.  The smells in the air are so cool. I just love those walks.  It gives me so many new and great smells to take in!  Penny, Jaybo, and I did our usual important things yesterday, then last night Mom and Dad and I went down to see "Grammy."  I'm not sure who she is, but as much as I can piece together, she is my mom's mom.  She lives at Frederick Living and mom and I usually go to see her on Friday nights.  She loves me, says I'm such a good little doggie.  Gosh - what can I say??   Anyway after that visit we stopped at this fantastic place.  I think the sign said "Pet Value."  I was terrified - they sold pets in there and I was gonna go back to that horrible place with all the dogs in cages and all the people talking to you and looking at you funny.  But I was so wrong!  OMG, there were the greatest smells in the world in that place!  Food smells of all kind, I think that place is Heaven!   There were alot of dog smells, so I lifted my leg a few times to tell them I was here and mom kept getting mad and asked the ladies for something to swipe of the scent I just left.  I'm sure some if my scent is still there, you can't get rid of all that scent, no matter how hard you try.  But let me tell you, that store was awesome!  It was heaven!   We didn't stay long, but we did bring back a little piece of heaven.  By the smell of the bag it was a bag of the diet food that Penny eats and the awesome venison and sweet potato that Jaybo and I eat. I went to bed last night dreaming of maybe someday living in that place.  What was the name of it again?  Oh, I think it was "Pet Value Heaven."   I'm tired, such an adventure. I guess I'll sleep today!

Some Birthday Dinner!

I am soooooo disappointed. I thought mom said we were all going out to celebrate Katie's birthday. Some celebration, they put Penny and me in our cage and they left Jaybo and the cats at home too.  They only took humans.  That's a rip off!!   I was so looking forward to this Shady Maple thing, it sounded so sweet.  Sweet, ha ha... didn't turn out sweet. Penny and I sat in the stupid cage and complained to each other all night.  But of course, when mom and dad and Katie came home they brought a friend along so we couldn't stay mad at them.  I will have to have a chat with mom sometime and tell her when it comes to my birthday, I'm expecting something very special.  She owes me!

Katie's 18th Birthday!

Today is this girl's 18th Birthday!   Mom says we are going to Shady Maple for supper, that sounds good to me.  I don't really care where we eat for supper, I just like to have supper! I'll let you know how supper turns out! This will be a new experience, eating out, we always have supper here in the kitchen in our own dish on the floor.  So, I'll let you know how this Shady Maple place does it!

I'm really excited about this kid's birthday! She is my favorite kid, I love her!
