I am sure you humans don't get a copy of the Animal Express from this area, so I decided to share with you what was in yesterday's newspaper.
Sincerely,
Leonard

Sam a few days after moving to Sycamore Rd.
Samatha-Jo "Sam"  Born 8/13/04 died 9/26/16

Samatha-Jo was born to her mother, Rolo, on a farm on Pine Street in Bally on August 13, 2014.  She began her life as a farm cat before being adopted by Katie.  Her home was then on Sycamore Road where she enjoyed the great outdoors as well as the indoors.

Snowflake and Sam

Sam enjoyed chasing all kinds of small animals such as rabbits, birds, moles and especially mice.  Sam enjoys sleeping on the bed, with her human parents and just relaxing on the bed when she's bored.   She died at her home suddenly (we believe of a heart attack) on Monday. She had not been sick.
As Sam grew she cuddled with Snowflake.
Because of Sam I know what the game of cat and mouse means.

Sam is survived by her beloved human family, Luann, Rob, Katie and Cody.  Her beloved animal family of her cat sisters, Frankie,  and  Holli; her dog sisters Jaybo and Penny, her dog brother Leonard. Along with her feathers sisters Sandy and Cinnamon, and her feathered brother Atilla. Sam also leaves her nephew, Perkins and her niece Addie.

She was proceeded in death by her cat sister Antoinette "Tony" and her dog sisters, Abby and Snowflake.

Sam will be greatly missed by her human family as well as the animal family.

REST IN PEACE SAMANTHA

It is with sadness I announce that passing of Samantha-Jo, better known to us all as "SAM".  Sam passed away the afternoon of  Monday, September 26, 2016  Sam was a cat, but not your normal cat's cat.  She was her own entity, even I, Leonard a dog, know she wasn't your normal run of the mill cat.  Sam was here years before I came. Mom and dad said they got her for Katie from a local farm.  Sam was brought home as an outside cat.  But dad would bring her in the house when mom was at work.  Then a friend convinced mom and dad that Sam needed a friend, that is when Frankie moved in.  They are actually real sisters.  They moved into the outdoor building but dad kept bringing the kittens inside saying they were cold. Before my parents realized it, they were indoor outdoor cats.  At one point, Frankie who has a lot of allergies, stayed inside, but Sam had her daily ritual of going outside and doing a once around the property.    She would on occasion bring a mouse, or parts of it to the porch.  In her younger years she caught rabbits (which really upset mom!)  Mom rescued more then one chipmunk, mole, bird and even a mouse or two out of Sam's clutches.  Sam was her own entity.   She really ran the animals in the house,  I mean the whole house, us dogs respected her (Most the time)  I guess that means she was Top Cat.  She would at least let Penny and me sleep on the bed with mom and dad.  She wouldn't allow any of the other cats to do that.  I know Dad loves all his animals but we all know Samantha was his special girl.  I hate to admit this, but I shall miss her too.  It was funny, she's stand at the door and meow, but it really sounded like she was saying "meOUT".  I could never figure out how she learned to say that!

I have to say, rest in peace Samantha. You were a beautiful cat of 12 years of age.
We shall all miss you.
I look forward to seeing you again when I cross that rainbow bridge to heaven!

Love,
Leonard

So, this is what was behind the gate!  I knew it was a cat!

This isn't fair, I don't want another cat!

I need to keep my eye on this one..  She looks like big trouble to me!  Don't you agree??

More later, I'm sure..   I vote she goes!

It's been awhile since I got to post something on my blog.  Our Katie graduated from college.  We are all so proud of her.  We had a great summer, Cody was here all the time (Since he was working an internship in the area) Katie got a job at Ursinus College, so she was here.  Life was great!   Mom, Dad, Katie, and Cody did go on vacation boarding us dogs at the vet.. (Not sure where the cats were, I didn't ask them. I avoid them as much as possible and never talk to them unless it's a real emergency and I don't count that as a real emergency )

Last week college started again. Dad went back, Cody went back to State College and Katie is working at a new college.  Mom is still doing her job so it's back to school normal for us.  Well, it was,  until last week one evening.  Mom and Katie went away and came home with that cat carrier and they brought in a baby cat!  I can't believe it!  No one asked me my thoughts.  They are storing this new cat in Katie's bathroom.  They have the gate there so that we can check her out. I hope they give us a paper to vote yes or no!  You know how I'll vote.  But I haven't heard anything about an election about keeping this baby cat.    For now in the bathroom she stays, which is fine with me!  They put a cardboard above the door because this "Thing" will climb the gate to get out.  Cats, they are crazed animals, climbing on everything.  No one seems to teach them any manners!   I'll post a picture as soon as I get a good look at that new cat thing!

For the record, I do not consider these cats friends.  We have one goal in mind, getting some sleep in the sun!   This window is great for letting the sun warm your fur!  I love warm fur!   Go away cats!  Please!   It never works..

I am keeping my eye on this cat!  She could roll off the sofa on to me and that would hurt!
